Hi! I am Sultan Almosbeh, a graduate student at Northeastern University. I am a Masters of science candidate pursuing my M.S in Semiconductor engineering with a focus on nanosystems and technology. I recently graduated from Muhlenberg College (Allentown PA) with my B.s in Physics and math
I've always been drawn to understanding how things work , and then figuring out how to make them work better. That same curiosity led me towards a classical physics degree, and encouraged me to work on research in biophysics throughout my freshman and sophomore year. In my third and final year, I worked on a chaotic circuit array and gained hands on experience in experimental physics as well as developing my presentation skills through a mini “thesis defense” at the end of my bachelors degree: it was partially thanks to this process that I pursued graduate study in a physics & electrical engineering heavy field.
My aspirations at the graduate level revolve around hardware design, PCB fabrication, and semiconductor research; my specialization is in Nanosystems, ultra small chips that endure classical and quantum behaviors.
Outside the classroom, I've led as a Resident Advisor, competed in NCAA Track & Field, and coordinated stakeholder communication and app rollouts as a Wellness Intern; experiences that taught me how to manage people, priorities, and deadlines all at once.

This summer, I accepted a role at Brown University as a Housing Intern; this role uniquely grants the flexibility to work directly with students in a mentorship fashion while also allowing exposure into the organizational structure of a large academic institution's residential operations.
Day to day, I coordinate housing logistics for 40+ students across Brown's pre-college programming, troubleshooting and maintaining data-tracking systems that catch placement conflicts throughout move-in, while also serving as a steady, approachable presence for students navigating a new environment. Drawing on skills I developed as a Resident Advisor at Muhlenberg, I focus on creating a structured, welcoming space where students feel supported, even as I balance the administrative side of the role: scheduling, documentation, and cross-team coordination with program staff.
It's been a great opportunity to see how mentorship and operations intersect, and a reminder that the best-run programs are the ones where the people behind the scenes are paying just as much attention to the details as they are to the people they're serving.
Current Role: Housing Intern @ Brown University
This fall (26) I will move into a full time student role as a semiconductor engineering grad student at Northeastern U in the Boston campus. The program consists of ultra interdisciplinary coursework between electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, the physics department, material sciences, and the chemistry department.
The coursework is paired with elite research facilities including semiconductor cleanrooms, ultrapowerful computer labs, and electrical engineering power stations to facilitate chip design for a variety of growing industry need.
I am excited to work alongside world class faculty across Boston and prepare for a rapidly growing and developing industry in semiconductor and nanotech research. I am excited to explore the Northeastern Co-op opportunities across the global campuses as a means to involve myself in real, quality work throughout my graduate program.
